Trip deets:
Travel dates: August 1-14th.
Miles: 7500 or so.
The route:
Leaving Richmond - head south to Biloxi, MS, then northwest to Santa Fe, muddle around the southwest with the Four Corners, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon, then to Cannon Beach, OR (for the final scene in Goonies) and then an undetermined route back home (what you see is one proposed route). One’s things for sure, we have to get to the Oregon Coast by 8/8 if we want a leisurely trip back to Richmond by the following Friday.
The mandatories: No Federal highways. No fast food/chain restaurants.
